Ceramic Meditations on Pain and Endometriosis

More Than a Vessel is a meditation on the physical pain of endometriosis, meant to evoke discomfort and empathy in the viewer. And for those who suffer from it, they are a signal of solidarity and knowing, a push against the isolation of pain and lost time. Despite affecting approximately 190 million people worldwide, endometriosis remains a mystery to most healthcare providers, costing patients 10 years on average to reach a diagnosis. These sculptures are the disease, unfleshed and exposed, refusing to be hidden by propriety.
